We build instruments. Weather came first.

Instruments for people who'd rather see the data than the forecast. One for people who love radar. Two for people who own a station. More lines to come, and not all of them weather.

For people who love radar

Weather, the way you want to see it.

WeatherStudio is for the people who watch the loop before they read the forecast. No station needed. Just the sky, in the detail you actually want.

No hardware required. If you've ever paused a loop to look at a hook echo, this one is for you.

WeatherStudio

Not a weather app. A radar workbench. Live and looped radar with the controls a forecast app hides, and the room to actually look.

For people who own a station

Your station, at a glance.

Gauge and Gauge Watch are a matched pair: the same readings in the two places your station doesn't reach. The Mac menu bar at your desk, your wrist everywhere else.

Made for Ambient Weather stations. Nothing else, on purpose. Works through the Ambient Weather API. You'll need an ambientweather.net account and an API key. If you have a station, you already know why.

Gauge

Your station in the menu bar. The readings you check most, one glance from whatever you're doing, and the rest one click down.

Small team. Squared output.

We're a product studio, not an agency. We make our own things, ship them, and keep the ones that work.

Most software gets bigger by adding. Ours gets better by multiplying. Each tool we build makes the next one faster to build, and each problem we solve becomes a primitive we can use again. That's the whole trick. Find the good part, then square it.

  • Principle01

    Corners, not curves.

Clear scope, clear ship dates, clear no's. Ambiguity is expensive. Edges are cheap.

  • Principle04

    Do one thing, exactly.

A tool with one job can be perfect at it. Feature creep is how good products become average ones.

  • Principle09

    Everything compounds.

Reuse the primitive. Ship the pattern. The second product should take half the time of the first.

  • Principle16

    Show the grid.

Honest structure, visible seams. If we can't explain how it works, it isn't done.

Mode A
Original products.

Conceived, designed, engineered and shipped in-house. We own the roadmap and the consequences.

Mode B
Select partnerships.

A few founders a year who need a first product built properly. Small scope, fixed price, real ship date.
